Un anno che merita di essere cesellato nella memoria con una fragranza celebrativa, degna espressione olfattiva da accordare al Platinum Jubilee, straordinario traguardo raggiunto da Sua Maestà la Regina Elisabetta II, alla guida del Regno Unito per settanta anni.

Per Floris London una tradizione consolidata nel privilegio che si rinnova attraverso la creazione di fragranze esclusive, in qualità di fornitore ufficiale della Casa Reale. 

In questa ultima composizione, l'espressione  di un amorevole omaggio a Sua Maestà, un tributo regale, aristocratico alla magnificenza dei giardini delle sue residenze.

Un onore poter raccontare Platinum 22 fragranza che è propagazione odorosa di una pietra miliare, un passaggio fondamentale nella storia di questa grande, amatissima sovrana, la sua straordinaria opera, la sua forza gentile, il suo carisma, permarranno quale inesauribile fonte di ispirazione.

Qui si sta come in altra epoca, quella dei grandi classici destinati ai posteri, dei nasi illuminati, raffinati, delle essenze sublimi che possiedono la patina preziosa della tradizione, degli odori fuori dal tempo e per questo sempre nel presente, della lungimiranza di certi aromi, capaci di svincolarsi da etichette e tendenze, sublimati, armonizzati per incoronare i sensi.

Memorabile questo iris blasonato che riceve la nota esperidata di lime, succoso il ribes nero che lo provoca avido, ghiotto, in tandem con il montare dolce erbaceo dell’avena. Raffinato, ben calibrato nella facette poudré, innalzato in ampiezza odorosa floreale balsamica da rosa, foglie di violetta e salvia sclarea, mantiene un retroaroma pungente speziato terroso nei toni profondi enigmatici di pepe e tè nero. 

Calda avvolgente confortante l’evoluzione, l'accordo fastoso del quartetto ambrato boisé con tonka, ambra, legno di cedro, muschio si palesa in piena luce, come squisita gemma nel più sontuoso dei diademi.  

Una delizia. Di nobile lignaggio.

Rimarchevole l'iniziativa di supporto al ‘Queen’s Green Canopy’, da parte di Floris che ha provveduto a piantare settanta alberi, uno per ogni anno di regno della monarca.

Eh sì, nelle nostre recensioni abbiamo voluto accostare Platinum 22 ad un'altra recente creazione di Floris London - No.007 - per ricordare la partecipazione straordinaria di Elisabetta II, con un cameo reale, nel filmato d'apertura delle Olimpiadi londinesi del 2012. Al suo fianco Daniel Craig, cui la Regina indirizzerà una battuta diventata cult: "Buonasera, mister Bond". I due lasciavano insieme Buckingham Palace, salivano su un elicottero per raggiungere l’Olympic Stadium, si paracadutavano (con controfigura) dal velivolo per atterrare magicamente  in tribuna d’onore.

Opening with top notes of cool orris, rounded by the comforting scent of oats, and lifted with a sparkle of blackcurrant and lime, Platinum 22 gently yields to the radiant heart notes of rich rose with violet leaves, clary sage, black tea, and a touch of black pepper to add a hint of spice. The fragrance then concludes with the warm woody base note of cedarwood enriched by a harmony of smooth amber, musk and tonka bean.
